On this week’s episode of 33 Tangents, we continue the conversation we had a few weeks ago regarding the proper ratio of technology to people.
As a traditional analyst, a person would set aside 70%-80% of my time to clean, wrangle, re-align data. Digital analytics promised the analyst that it would be solved for and the need to spend so much time prepping would be reduced drastically. We’re treating digital analytics like traditional analytics and forcing the analyst to do a massive amount of prep work.
Why is this the case? Have the web analytics tools failed or has the prep work just moved from one area to another?
