For many, it feels as though digital analytics has reached a point where the focus is on the collecting more data and less on how it will be used. Often times organizations are moving too fast so the excuse becomes “as long as we’re collecting it, we’ll be able to figure it out later.”

The problem is that most of that data will be useless because the time to define it, validate it, and maintain it was put in.
